Sundarban is the largest mangrove forest in world and is listed as UNESCO world heritage site. The place is known for beautifully retaining its charm and authenticity. Royal Bengal Tiger is the unique selling proposition of the place and tourists from far off places come to witness the rare species. As I stay in Kolkata, my journey to Sundarban was a 3-hour bus journey. The moment I reached the place, I was mesmerized by the wilds. There is a certain mystery associated with the place; a sense of bewilderment embraces you when you just stare into the denseness of the forest. The trees appear as if they are calling out to you, asking you to listen to its stories.
There are various sanctuaries, temples and islands to visit in Sundarbans. The famous Sundarban National Park is a wildlife sanctuary, tiger reserve and a biosphere reserve as well. It is a part of delta, which is covered with mangrove forests.
Out of all my wanderlust travel diaries, I always wanted to explore the beauty of wilderness. The woods, the forests and the beaming sun never failed to grab my attention. To satiate this urge, I looked up for Sundarban tour packages online. As I continued to pack my bags, I was not astonished to see the innumerable Sundarban tours listed on every travel website. I booked a two-day trip to Sundarban and went off to sleep.
